Ryan B asked:

I am building a carputer, and need to use it as my head unit. I will be using XBMC as the media center, and will mostly be playing music. My question is, if I have a high quality pci sound card,

Would it be playing only on the front right and left speakers, or does it play on all of the channels

If there are any science wiz’s out there.

Would the following work:

Use something (e.g. a exercise bike/treadmill) to charge a car battery and use the car battery to power the PC.

Would that work? If it would work, for how long?

Just a random thought….no biggy…you thoughts please.

Infidel Prophet asked:

Every week, my mom takes my stuff from her house to my dad’s. I have been doing this with my Xbox 360 but am now thinking about building my own gaming computer. It would be much cheaper and powerful if it was a desktop, and I was wondering, how safe would it be for the computer to move it in a car this often. I could package it and hate being restricted on this by having divorced parents, so is it possible and if so, how?

JAY R Grifco asked:

I have the new Eee PC 1000 with flash memory. They say it’s rugged because of that fact. Any programs need to be loaded by an external CD -drive and I don’t think there is a conventional internal hard drive. If this is true……….. is this unit ok for use in a bumpy car ? thanks in advance to anyone who can help

Matt K asked:

I bought lots of computer speaker systems and can never find one i could blast with out distort or fuz poor quality. So what i did was cut the wires on the speakers on my sub/amp from one of the sub woofer speaker setup i bought. And i cut the wires and hooked up my old pioneer 6′9 car speakers and it sound so loud clear amazing the sub even handles such low notes. So is there anything out there to really get better sound out your pc?
